SoundCloud launches discounted SoundCloud Go+ service for students

The student subscription will provide access to all SoundCloud Go+ features, including ad-free listening, track downloads for offline listening, high quality audio streaming and access to the platform’s full catalog of over 200m tracks.

SoundCloud Go+ for Students rolls out in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada today (March 5), and will be live in Germany, France and the Netherlands next week.

SoundCloud’s $4.99 premium service for students matches the student pricing offered by the likes of Apple Music, which launched it’s student pricing in May 2016 and Spotify, which are also both $4.99 a month.

SoundCloud became a distributor last month after it launched a tool in open beta for users to upload music to Spotify, Apple Music etc.Music Business Worldwide
