Zerto, an industry leader for IT resilience, today announced that TrustRadius has recognized Zerto with a 2020 Tech Cares Award. This award celebrates companies that have gone above and beyond to provide their communities, clients, and frontline workers with support during the COVID-19 crisis.

To be accepted for the Tech Cares Award, each nominated organization had to be a B2B technology company that demonstrated above-and-beyond caring during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Zerto has won a 2020 Tech Cares award, which recognizes technology companies that have gone above and beyond to support their clients and communities in 2020 and during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Megan Headley, Vice President of Research at TrustRadius. “Zerto earns this award for its proactive support of frontline communities. The company made its platform freely accessible to help secure virtual machines in essential services like healthcare and food supply groups, as well as government agencies.”

Zerto was nominated in recognition of the company’s offering its IT Resilience Platform™ for free to organizations on the frontline of the pandemic. This included healthcare, state and local governments, food supply, and other essential service organizations. Zerto’s offering included free Zerto licences for the protection of up to 50 virtual machines, free premium support, implementation assistance, online training, and free on-demand educational labs. This enabled organizations to become more IT resilient and address some of the IT challenges they may have been facing due to COVID-19, including moving workloads to the cloud, protecting critical systems from ransomware and cyberattacks, mobilizing data and applications across locations, testing disaster recovery plans while working from home, and more.

“We offered our IT Resilience Platform™ to frontline organizations to help ensure their critical operations could do what they do best—help organizations fight the pandemic—rather than spending valuable resources to ensure business continuity,” said Sofia Kauffman, chief people officer, Zerto. “Additionally, we realized the need for our assistance had a greater reach. In the US, one in seven children lives in hunger, and roughly 22 million children rely on free or reduced breakfast or lunch daily. School closures resulted in more than 975,000,000 missed meals across the country. The second initiative we embarked on was to help ease this burden on families and we partnered with No Kid Hungry, which connects kids to healthy food every day, even in times of disaster—when support is needed the most. Zerto offered a $5,000 dollar-for-dollar match for all employee generosity towards this meaningful organization which led to nearly $10,000 donated, providing close to 100,000 meals to kids across the country.”

Everyone was welcome to nominate an organization for the TrustRadius 2020 Tech Cares Award, including those who work for or with the company. All nominations were thoroughly vetted by the TrustRadius research team. In addition to nominations, the Tech Cares Award was also given on the basis of reviewer feedback on TrustRadius. Organizations whose reviews clearly illustrated how much they care during this crisis have also been recognized.
